Cameos:
- Kevin Williamson - (creator/writer)He plays the host that is interviewing Cotton Weary near the beginning of the film.
- Heather Graham - She plays the role of Casey Becker is Stab, the movie within a movie than portrays the events in Scream.
- Joshua Jackson - He plays a student in the film class that Randy is in.
- Wes Craven - He had a cameo in the movie, but he cut himself out of it. He played a doctor in the hospital after Derek got stabbed.
- Mathew Lillard(Stu in Scream) - He has a very quick cameo as a student at a party. It is right after everyone comes out of the house to see why all of the cops are around.
When Sidney open her closet to get some clothes notice the shirt hanging on the hook. It is a red and green striped shirt. I guess Sid and Freddy have the same taste in clothes.
After Sarah Michelle Gellar gets killed, everyone comes out of the other house to see what is going on. One of the people running out of the house has a dog with a leash. This dog was put in because Liev Schreiber (Cotton Weary) asked Wes Craven. I think it might have been his dog.
When Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) mentions the nude pictures of her on the Internet, she says, "It was just my head. It was Jennifer Aniston's body." Of course Jennifer Aniston is Courteney Cox's co-star on Friends.
And when Cici (Sarah Michelle Gellar) talks to a friend on the phone they mention the TV-show Party of Five. Neve Campbell (Sidney) plays Julia on that show.
Cici is the nickname of the character played by Sarah Michelle Gellar, but Cici is the actual nickname of Courtney Cox. Courtney of course plays Gail Weathers.
In Scream, Dewey asks Sindey if her life was a movie, who she thought would play her. Sidney replies by saying, "With my luck it would probably be Tori Spelling." Tori Spelling plays Sidney Prescott in Stab.
