Lest we forget

Lest we forget

As we try to cope with the grief and hurt

Adoption isn't what any of us 'chose'

the abduction of our babies occurred first.

Lest we forget

As our own truths unfold

That our babies were accounted for by the state

-for adoption, long before they were born.

Lest we forget

The young incubators-just used

And sent to a living hell

by a system who KNEW!

Lest we forget

As distressed, vulnerable and drugged

We had no idea of the crimes they'd commit

To steal our babies and run!

Lest we forget

We were mums like any other

Loving and ready to lay down our life for our childs

With the same rights to see our own flesh and blood.

Lest we forget

The love we've always felt

That our children are still missing

Displaced by the state to their own living hell.

Lest we forget

That this social experiment was all arranged

With us and our future generations the victims

Of adoptions devastating damage.

Lest we forget

The different 'treatment ' we got

As unmarried mothers

Guinea pigs for all- step right up!!

Lest we forget the regimes that they used

To separate us from our babies

As our legal and human rights were removed.

Lest we forget

The illegal 'consents' obtained

From abused and traumatised women

-as the state quickly changed their babies names.

Lest we forget

The thousands of grieving families

The broken finding the broken

So many lives destroyed.

Lest we forget

That it is not enough to say

"we just didn't know then, what we know now"

when in fact, it was planned that way.

Lest we forget

the strength these mothers need

To get up and face each day

with the horror of abuse and lies being seen.

Lest we forget

that these lost children are our blood.

We'll hang in through more pain and denial

as our children work out who they are.

Lest we forget

The porches lit at night, and the phones kept free.

And a lifetime of hope

-in case their children can

trust enough to make a call.

Lest we forget that we are survivors of trauma!

We can wake up and speak!

We can help end the slaughter!

Lest we forget

The insights we have gained,

of the cosmic damage of adoption

and the sanctity of the mother/child bond.

Lest we forget

The shattered lives of adoptions trauma

Lest we forget

The abduction of our babies occurred first.
