Reject the Heathens Way

If you haven't read the article on "Intentions", I'd like to encourage you to read it first. In that article we examine scripture to gain an understanding of how we are to choose God's way of doing things. For what we are going to look at in this study that information will be very helpful.

LET'S GET STARTED

"Hear ye the word which the Lord speaketh unto you , O house of Israel: Thus saith the Lord, LEARN NOT THE WAY OF THE HEATHEN", Jeremiah 10:1-2

"When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations". Deut 18:9

"then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rok of his salvation. They provoked Him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they Him to anger. They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to knew gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not. Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee". Deut 32:15-18

"And God spake all these words, saying, I am the LORD thy God which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER gods BEFORE ME". Ex 20:1-3

"For they themselves shew us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and HOW YOU TURNED TO GOD FROM IDOLS TO SERVE THE LIVING AND TRUE GOD"; 1 Thess 1:9

"Little children, KEEP YOURSELVES FROM IDOLS". 1 John 5:21

GET THE POINT
All right. There's alot more scriptures we could go to, but I think you get the point. Believers are not to do as non believers. The ways of the heathen are not to become our ways. All through God's Word He reveals that His people belong to Him. They are seperate from all other people. They do not take up the practices of folks around them who worship false gods.

Take a look at what happens when people "blend" their walk with heathen practices.

"But King Solomon loved many strange women,.... Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: FOR SURELY THEY WILL TURN AWAY YOUR HEART AFTER OTHER gods: ... And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: AND HIS WIVES TURNED AWAY HIS HEART". 1 Kings 11:1-3

Shortly afterwards the kingdom was split. The man who had asked for wisdom, caused corruption and division in God's house because he linked himself with the ways of the heathen.

WE ARE ADMONISHED

"And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; a God hath said, I will dwell inthem, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM, and be ye seperate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you", 1 Cor 6:16-17

No where in scripture do we find a place where God tells us to make mergers with the heathen. Specifically, our Father instructs us to keep our lives free of the practices of the people who do not know Him. Now, up until this point you may have been nodding in agreement. However, I am about to say some things that may be difficult even offensive. Please, know that it is not my desire to anger anyone. God right now is beckoning by the Spirit for those who love Him to return to His Word and cling to Him. Very soon the whore will be judged along with her offspring and if we do not come out of her we will partake of her plagues. Fight against the lie of the enemy that would tellyou that your "intentions" clear you of any "responsibility" to the Word. Reject the comfort of excuses. Seek your God and He will be found.

WHERE DOES IT COME FROM
I was never much of a history buff. In fact back in my school days it was pretty low on the list of my likable subjects ( not as low as math, but not as high as literature ). However, in the past three years it has become somewhat of a passion and I now know why. There are things that the Lord wanted to show me and in order to do so I needed to dig. The catch phrase of the day for me became, "where does it come form". I started to ask that about everything. Where did we get this, when did we start that, how did this get in here? The answers ... well, the truth will set you free.

Christianity as we know it today, is a mingled seed. What I mean by that is this, ... part of what is believed and held to be right, comes from the Word, while another part does not. Most do not question the origin of their beliefs. Like a tattered security blanket, it is a comfort they do not want to discard. Unfortunately, what is held to comes from the heathen and turns the heart from God.

Sunday, holidays and images. In these three areas there is enourmous corruption. Before you turn away and dismiss this with an angry shake of your head, deciding that I am a fanatic or a liar or upset with the last church I attended or whatever... I urge you to study for yourself. Don't take my word, the evidence of what I am about to share is available for you to confirm very easily. Your walk with God is far too important for you to ignore this. What if what you have held to all your life is wrong, what if you are teaching your children a false gospel, what if your "choice" to remain ignorant has dire consequences? Yehsua died for you, can you not study a little for Him?

If you think that I am being over dramatic about this, I disagree. It is time to come out of darkness.

AHEAD
I will present three articles following this one. The first will deal with the abolishing of God's Sabbath by man to replace it with the worship day of the sun god. The second article will deal with the heathen festivals that cleaverly erased God's appointed feasts in order to remove important teachings about our Messiah. The final installment of this series will target the practice of idol worship in the form of images.

Brethren, my heart is to reach those with an ear to hear. Our Messiah will soon return. You and I will stand face to face with the One who redeemed us. Before that day, we will be tried. Today, we must choose to cling to His Word, to walk as He called us to walk. The way of the heathen must be rejected. The way of YHVH must be received.
