Harry Mason

Harry is an average guy. He supports himself as an author, and lives a relatively quiet life. However, a few years ago Harry lost his wife to a fatal disease. Since then he has tried to keep her memory alive by devoting most of his time to their daughter Cheryl. Harry adores Cheryl and is very protective of her. Among the many things they enjoy doing together, vacationing in different places is probably one of their favorites. A few weeks ago, Cheryl decided she wanted to visit a small resort town by the name of Silent Hill. They set off together, perfectly oblivious to the events that are about to befall them.
Cheryl Mason 
Age: 7
Harry's Daughter
Cheryl Mason is an innocent young girl, who loves her father dearly. She looks forward to their yearly vacations and always carries around the sketchbook her father gave as a gift. She is somewhat reserved though, and at times it seems to Harry she is almost secretive. Cheryl insisted on visiting Silent Hill this year, a choice which seemed odd to Harry. But he decided not to ask, and together they set out for Silent Hill.
Cybil Bennet 
Age: 22
Police Officer
A rookie cop just recently recruited into the Brahms Police Department. Cybil is very dedicated to her duty, and possesses a firm sense of justice. She is young and very inexperienced with actual work in the field, though. After communication ceased between Brahms and Silent Hill, Cybil was sent to investigate. She hits the outskirts of town late at night. The only other vehicle she notices is Harry's Jeep. She blows on by without a second thought. A short time later, Harry sees the motorcycle dumped on the shoulder of the road. It distracts him for a moment so he barely has time to react when a figure steps in the road straight in the path of Harry's car.
Michael Kaufmann 
Hospital Director
Dr. Michael Kaufmann is the director of the Alchemilla Hospital in Silent Hill. His background is questionable and his notoriety for being arrogant and rude is well known. Harry first meets Kaufmann in the Hospital, sitting in a chair over the corpse of a winged monster. It seems to Harry as if Kaufmann has something to hide, and he never stays around long when he meets Harry. There is a drug in town called White Claudia that is frequently distributed to tourists. There were some in the police force who suspected a connection with Kaufmann. Those who expressed their suspicion died rather mysteriously, though.
Lisa Garland 
Nurse
Lisa is a beautiful young nurse employed at the Alchemilla Hospital. After the disappearance of the town residents, Lisa found herself alone in a twisted and nightmarish world, unable to remember anything about how she got there or what happened to the town. When Harry meets her she is nearly ecstatic with the joy of finding another person alive and okay. Consequently, she tends to cling to Harry and becomes fearful when Harry leaves her. She is unwilling to leave the Hospital though, as she feels deep down that something is making her stay there.
Dahlia Gillespie 
???
Every town has it's outcasts and those dismissed as simply crazy, and Silent Hill is no exception. Many rumors surround Dahlia Gillespie. Rumors that her child was killed in a fire seven years ago. Rumors that she went a little off the deep end afterwards. Even rumors that since then she has taken an interest in drugs and the occult. Harry comes across Dahlia in the Balkan Church. She begins spouting nonsense to Harry and warns of impending doom. When Harry thinks things couldn't be stranger, Dahlia shows up to remind
him that things can be, and indeed are, stranger.
Alessa 
Harry soon realizes that this is the girl who stepped in front of his car and caused him to end up in Silent Hill. Alessa appears to Harry several times, but she always seems to be a ghostly apparition. Who is this girl, and what does she want of Harry Mason?
