Lauren, Lloyd and Sonya Humphrey
After graduation I enlisted in the Air Force. I went to Lackland AFB in Texas for "Boot Camp" and then to Lowery AFB for Tech School. I was trained as radar maintance on the F4C jet fighter. After Tech School I was sent to Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson,Az.
In 1964, I married a girl I met in Denver. My daughter, Deborah was born in 1965 and now lives in Worland, Wy., with her husband Jeff and three kids, Jeremy, Amy and Will. My first Christmas with Deborah was not as good as the next. I left for Vietnam Christmas day, 1965 [she was 5mos.old] and didn't see her again until Christmas of the next year.Three years after Deborah's birth came Lloyd Jr.'s birth. By then, I was living in Orlando. I was working for Dodson Auto Radio.inc, repairing car stereos, amps. and CB radios. That was a little different than what I was doing in the Air Force. Lloyd Jr. also lives in Worland, Wy., He has two sons, Kevin and Zack.
In 1979, I divorced and later married Sonya. That is when I got a three year old daughter named Brandy. Brandy is now living in Wilmington, Del., with her husband, Joe and my grandson, Justin.
In 1984, Sonya and I were blessed when our third daughter, Lauren. Lauren is at T.H.S. and is an honor student. Until this year she played the trumpet in the band. I was a band parent in my old band, at my old school, in my old band room. Mercy I'm old, but it was nice to watch Lauren marching on the same football field I marched on, over forty years ago [grass looks nicer now]. Lauren is in FFA and has a Bull and Steer she is raising for the Lake Co. Fair.
After working for Dodson Auto Radio for eighteen years, the company closed. Mr. Dodson sold the business to a "ding bat" that did not think he had to pay taxes. The IRS took the company and closed the doors. Things worked out fine for me. My next job was working for Electronic Service Labs inc. in Orlando. I repaired home, car and personal audio. I loved my job, but hated the thirty-mile drive to Orlando.I was working on commission and after being there 18 years, work started dropping off. My paycheck got smaller and I started looking for another job. Well, I found one in Leesburg and only eight miles from home. GREAT!!
I started working for Restor Telecom July 16, 2001. We repair computer and line boards and other equipment for large comunication companies like Century and Verizon.
I will not bore you anymore. Now you know what I did and what I'm doing. I don't even know what I'm going to do next. You can check back later incase I do something else.
