Mabel and Jack
After graduation, I joined the Air Force and went through Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. I was assigned as a Medical Service Specialist.
I was transferred to Greenville Mi. and trained as a Medical Service Specialist. After Medical Training. I was transferred to Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, Fl. and in 1964, I was transferred to Eufayla, Al.
In May of 1965 I met Mabel Cummings and on September 17, 1965 we were married. We now have three sons. Their names are Jack II, Troy and Rocky.
I was discharged from the Air Force in 1967 and took a job with the Tavares Police Department as a Patrolman. I worked for the Tavares Police Department for 7 1/2 years and then took a job with the Eustis Police Department. I worked for the Eustis Police Department for 4 1/2 years.
In 1979, I left the Eustis Police Department and took a job with the Lake County Sheriffs Department. I am now a Sergeant and West Side Supervisor in Road Patrol for the Lake County Sheriffs Department.
In my younger years, I spent my free time coaching football and baseball for kids. I spent this time with my sons. My three sons graduated from Tavares High School and have given me 7 grandchildren. Their names are Jack III, Tyler, Brynn, Tucker, Travis, Auston and Brandyn.
My wife, Mabel, is the Production Manager for Florida Made Door Manufacture in Astatula. She has been with them for 22 years.
