--------------------------Notes---------------------------

Rebecca moved with her father after the 1830 census and possibly
after her mother Mary Lee's death to Newton Co. Mo.
Whitaker Crabtree who was with William and Mary in Jackson CO. Tn.
and in Washington Co. Il. in 1830 moved his family also, and
Rebecca married his son, a second cousin my mother always thought.
They were living near the older families in the 1840 census, by 1850
they had 3 daughters and 1 son. Her sister Ruth was living with them
at the time. About 1859 they moved to Greenville, Hunt Co. Tx. where
Malinda had already settled. There they lived near Whitaker and his
family. William father of Rebecca might have died as no other trace
of him has been found.
Rebecca and William moved their family of 2 sons, and 4 daughters
to Grayson Co. Tx. where other Crabtree's, old Ike's descendents as
my mother called them had settled. Rebecca was dead by the 1880
census. William D. died Nov. 23, 1880 in Grayson Co. Tx.
The Crabtree neighbors here were Thomas, Juda, Mark & Permelia,
Elihu, Delila, Wesley G. & Mary, Reese & Mary, and Whitaker age 71
from Va. and James & Mary. Most of them gave Tn. or Mo. as their
birth State. Most of the men served in the Civil War along with
their young sons.
