John J. sold his land in Va. and moved to Mo. in 1833,
went to Oregon by wagon train leaving in the spring of 1845,
and arriving at The Dalles in October 1846.
John J. died at the home of his son James Porter Crabtree.
John & Malinda are buried in the Franklin Butte Cemetery,
Linn Co. Or.
