How are ya'll? I'm just peachy. I was reading a bunch of AAMRN's and finally
decided to make one myself. I just love Ash and Misty, and I hope those stupid animators
realize that Ash and Misty are made for one another. Hope you like my story!! ^_^

~ means thinking.

Disclaimers: A million companies own Pokemon,
and unfortunately I'm not in one of those companies. Hey, I'm only in grade 8!!!

Rating: PG13 There's a teensy-weensy, little-itty bit of lime-scentedness. If you're like me and hate hentai, don't worry, I would still read this. ******* Stubborn Love By Silver V Part 1 "What do you mean it was my fault!? That was clearly your fault!" "No way! You were the one who spilt the water!" "You liar!" "Spoiled brat!" "Pikachu!" (Shut-up!) Brock smiled. They were such a cute couple. Too bad they couldn't see it. "You guys! We have to get out of this stupid forest! So if you would please stop flirting with each other and come over here and help me find the right path." "Flirting with each other!? Yeah right!" Misty took off her shoe and threw it at Brock's head. "Aaahhhh! That hurt!" Brock rubbed his head, "Seriously, come over here and help me figure out the map." Misty and Ash walked over. They both leaned over Brock's shoulder and stared at the map. "Hmm. I think that's the right road." Misty pointed to a road on the map. "No way! That's obviously the right road!" Ash argued. "You're blind! That one is the right road!" "No! That one is! You just to stupid to notice!" "To stupid to notice!? Why you-" Misty whacked Ash over the head, and he got a good-sized lump. "Little spit-fire." Ash muttered, not intending for Misty to hear. She did. "And what's that supposed to mean, Ash Ketchum! Little spit-fire indeed!" Misty paused, "Well really, what does it mean?" "It means he thinks you're cute." Brock interrupted. Both Misty and Ash started yelling at him together. "I do not think she's cute!" "He does not think I'm cute!" "Pika, katchu, pi-pika." (He does too think you're cute.) "No I/he doesn't!" they said together. After 5 or 6 years of living with him, the trio now understood what Pikachu was saying. "Aha! Come here, I found the road leading out of here. It's right over there." Brock said, pointing to a path to their right. The trio packed up their stuff and headed on down the path. For once Misty and Ash were both silent. So was Brock and Pikachu. They were all caught up in their own thoughts. ~I wonder what Ash really meant by that little spit-fire comment.~ Misty thought as she looked at her 17 year old companion. As she stared at him she realized with a jolt that he was now taller than her. Quite a bit taller in fact. "Aaaaaahhhhhh!" she shrieked, causing both Ash and Brock to jump. "Ash is taller than me! A lot taller! Aaaaaahhhhhh!!" Ash walked over to Misty and stared down at her. "You're right for once! I am taller than you! Now I can look down my nose at you!" Ash started dancing around and Misty and Brock got big sweat drops on their heads. "All right already! It's not that big of a deal!' Misty snapped, walking on ahead of them. ~I can't believe he got taller than me. Now I have to look up see him.~ Ash being taller than her was really bugging her. She didn't really know why, but suspected it was because, when she was taller she always felt like he was younger and more inferior, even though he was the same age. Now she felt like he was a boy the same age as her, and that kinda changed things. Ash frowned at Misty's back. He didn't really know why she was so upset about him growing. He thought it was a time for rejoicing. He had finally matured, although his voiced had changed at age 15 and he now had a deep, normal voice. But it scared him to see her so quiet. He ran up to Misty and tapped her on the shoulder. She jumped and turned around. Ash crouched down on the ground and looked up at her. "Look! You're still taller than me!" Misty rolled her eyes, but to everyone’s surprise, including hers, she started to laugh. Ash and Brock had clearly thought she would hit him. Ash grinned and stood up. Misty was still laughing. "Well," Brock said smiling, "We better keep going." Misty and Ash nodded and they started walking again, Misty still giggling. "Pika pi! Katchu chu pika!" (Misty didn't hit Ash! She likes him!) Misty whirled around. "I do not like him!" "Pikachu." (He likes you too.) "I do not like her! How could I ever have a crush on that little scrawny thing!?" "I am not a little scrawny thing!" Ash walked over to Misty and stared down at her. "Oh really? You sure look like it to me!" "Just because you're taller doesn't mean that I'm scrawny! I have a slender body!" ~I suppose that's true.~ Ash thought as he looked at her. "Okay, you're not scrawny." "I AM NOT- I'm not?" Ash nodded. "You're not scrawny, just really skinny. A skinny little pest with sticking up red hair!" "Ash Ketchum! You're mean! I have a slender body, and my hair is...well...I can't help it that it's red, and it's a little too short for a ponytail not to stick out!" "Then wear it down!" Misty was getting really mad, so she yanked the elastic out of her hair and it tumbled around her shoulders. "Happy!?!" "Katchu, chu, pika pi pika! Pikachu, katchu, pika pi!" (Ash thinks you look pretty with you're hair down! He said so in his sleep!) Ash turned bright red. "I never said she looked pretty with her hair down!" He turned and stared at Misty. "Stop oogling Misty, and help me set up camp." Brock interrupted. They had been arguing so long that it was time to set up camp. Ash decided to ignore that last comment, and went and started a fire. After many unsuccessful attempts, he finally got it started and laid down in it's heat. Misty came over and joined him. "What are you doing here?" "I'm cold! Jeez, can't a girl sit down at a fire without being questioned!?" "Sorry." Ash mumbled. Brock and Pikachu came and sat down beside Misty, Pikachu jumping into her arms. Misty smiled, burying her face in Pikachu's fur. Ash looked at Misty's profile as she stared into the fire. He caught himself wondering how soft her hair would be in his hands. She hadn't put it up in the ponytail, and he thought she looked way better like that. Ash sighed. Stupid fire-light. Started giving a guy crazy ideas. As if Misty could ever look good. Just then, Misty turned her head, catching Ash staring at her. Pikachu noticed both her and Ash turn an interesting shade of red before quickly looking back into the fire. ~They definitely like each other.~ he thought. ~They're so cute.~ Brock had also noticed this little exchange and winked at Pikachu. Pikachu winked back. Misty stretched, dumping Pikachu to the ground in the process. Her back ached. She wished she had a pillow. She glanced over to where Ash was lying on his stomach. 'Why not? He and I both know we're just friends even if Brock and Pikachu have crazy imagination’s.' Misty moved over to Ash and laid down, resting her head on his back. He jumped, startled. He looked over his shoulder and saw Misty resting on his back. "What are you doing?" "Using you as a pillow, stupid! What'd you think I was doing?" "Sorry!" Brock looked over at Pikachu and winked again. "Why do you keep winking at each other?" Misty demanded. "Oh, no reason." Misty and Ash gave him suspicious glances but didn't say anything. The group just lay by the fire, talking about when they got to the pokemon league and Ash beat the Elite Four. "What are we going to do after that?" Misty asked. "I'm going to go back to Pewter City and start a pokemon breeding center." Brock announced. "And I'm going to go back to Pallet for a while, and visit my mom. I don't know what I'm going to after that. Probably just travel the world, looking for new pokemon and having fun. What about you Misty?" "To tell you the truth, I have no idea what I'm going to do. I don't really want to go back to my sisters. I love them dearly but I don't think I would have much fun starring in underwater ballets, and all that." Misty smiled, thinking of a time when she was 13, and her sisters had convinced her to star in an underwater ballet, as a mermaid. "I guess I'll go and start my own gym. That would be fun. Or I could go with Brock and help him start up his breeding center." "I could really use the help." Brock said. Suddenly Ash flinched violently. "What?" Misty said, sitting up. "You hair tickled my back." Brock grinned and Misty rolled her eyes. Misty laid back down after Ash finished scratching, but this time Ash had rolled over, to look at the stars, so Misty was resting her head on his stomach. "Pika pi, katchu?" (Don't you think it looks romantic?) Pikachu said quietly to Brock, so Misty and Ash wouldn't hear. Brock nodded. "Yeah. Hey! That looks so cute I'm going to get a picture." Brock pulled out the polaroids camera he had just bought and waited for the right moment. Ash looked down at Misty and stared at her hair. "Hey cool! You're hair looks like it's black in the darkness and firelight!" Ash picked up a strand of her hair and twirled it around his finger. Misty smiled. "Really? I've always wanted to have black hair. It's prettier than red." Misty sighed. "I think red hair looks pretty." Ash stated and then, just noticing what he had said, turned red and added, "It takes the attention away from your scrawny little body." "My scrawny little body!? Why you jerk! I've already told you it's slender!" Misty sat up and her and Ash started on one of their infamous fights. Brock didn't mind. He had gotten the perfect picture when Ash was touching Misty's hair, and she was smiling. ******* "Rise and shine! Feel the warm sun on you're face and wake up!" Misty groaned. She rolled over and opened her eyes, staring at Brock making breakfast. "C'mon guys! Get up! We have to get moving some day!" "Does it have to be today?" Ash grumbled. Misty pulled herself out of bed and went over to Ash's sleeping bag. "GET UP YOU LAZY IDIOT!!!" Ash jumped up, rubbing his ear and giving Misty dirty glances. After the group had finished eating breakfast, they packed up camp and started on down the road. ******* Gary was walking in the forest, trying to spot pokemon, when he noticed Ash walking down a path with Brock and a cute red-head. Must be that girl Ash talked about. Misty. He sneaked closer for a better look. ******* "Did you hear something?" Ash looked into the forest. He thought he glimpsed someone sneaking around behind the trees. ~Must be my imagination.~ He thought. ******* Gary stared at Misty. She was really hot. She had on short jean shorts, that showed of her smooth, shapely legs, and a clinging yellow tank-top. Her shiny red hair drifted around her shoulders, and her large blue eyes sparkled. ~How does Ash live with her without wanting to kiss her all the time?~ Gary wondered. No doubt about it, he was hit bad. ******* "Aaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!" Misty jumped onto Ash's back as a bug walked across her path. "Get that thing away!!!" Ash kicked the bug away. "Jeez Misty. It's gone now. You can get off me." "Oh right." Misty hopped off. "Pikachu. Pi pika pi, chu katchu." (See, she lingered, she likes him.) Both Misty and Ash got sweat drops on their heads. They had realized a while back that it was pointless to argue. Brock and Pikachu would keep on believing what they wanted. After the group had walked on for a while, they came to a dead end. "Oh great! What do we do now?" "Hmm. I don't know." "What do you mean you don't know!?! You're the one with a map! Figure it out!" Misty hit Brock with her bag. "Okay! Okay!" Brock started turning the map around trying to see where to go next. "I don't know." He finally pronounced. Misty rolled her eyes. "You dimwit. Now where do we go? I suppose we could try to go through the forest." "That might work." Brock said. "Pika pi chu!" (Okay! Let's go!) They walked into the forest with Misty keeping a close look out for bugs. And when she saw on, leaping on to Ash's back. ******* Gary watched Misty, Ash, Brock and Pikachu walk through the forest looking lost. ~Hmm. Maybe I could show them how to get out of here, and then Misty will like me!~ Gary congratulated himself on his great plan and went out into the open, where they could see him. "Hello. You seem to be lost, could I maybe show you the way out of here?" Gary bowed elaborately. Ash did a double take. "Gary!?!?! Why do you want to help us!?!?" "I've matured out of old immature ways, and now have grown up." Ash rolled his eyes. 'Yeah right. He's just trying to impress Misty. Why else would he want to help. I bet Misty can see right through him.' But when Ash looked at Misty, she didn't seem to be annoyed. She actually looked impressed. "We'd love it if you would be our guide." Gary grinned. "Right this way." ~He doesn't look so bad. I bet Ash was lying, as usual, when he talked about what a creep Gary was.~ Misty looked at Ash. He seemed to be positively seething. ~Why?~ She thought. ******* "So Misty," Gary said after he had led them out of the forest, "Are you doing anything tomorrow night?" Ash whipped his head around and stared at Misty. ~Is she going to say yes?~ He sure hoped not. "Well no. I'm free tomorrow." "Wanna go to a movie or something?" Misty darted a look at Ash and saw him looking really mad, like he wanted to kill Gary. "Sure!" she said brightly. "Okay! Pick you up at seven?" Misty nodded. And Gary ran off, waving. Then Ash exploded. "Why on earth did you say yes!?! Why would you want to go out with that creep!?!" "Why do you care!?" Brock and Pikachu looked on with interest as Ash and Misty started fighting. As usual, Misty won with a wack to the head, and they walked to a hotel, Ash sulking all the way. When they checked into the hotel, and were sitting up in their room, in their pyjamas, Ash asked Misty again. "Why are you going out with him!?!" "I feel like it, now shut-up!" "I WILL NOT SHUT-UP!" Misty recoiled as Ash got really steamed. "Misty! Gary has been known to harass pretty girls! Get it through your thick head that he's not going to act like a gentlemen to you! !" Misty snorted. "As if! I doubt he would try anything on me! He doesn't look like the type. In fact he looks like a nervous, un-experienced type!" "That's what he wants you to believe!" "You're just jealous!" "Jealous!? Of that creep!? Why would I be jealous!?" "Because he can get a date and you can't!" "I can so get a date! Just none of the girls I've met are interesting! I don't want to go out with one of those oh-Ash-you're-so-funny type of girls! I want a challenge!" "Like Misty?" Brock cut in. "NO!" Both Ash and Misty yelled. Brock just winked at Pikachu. "Would you stop that!?!" They yelled in unison. "Pikachu, chu pika pi katchu, ka pi." (They even say the same things at the same time! Isn't that cute.) "Yep." Brock said. Ash and Misty just ignored them now, and continued on with their little disagreement. "I won't let him try anything, and if he does he's dead meat!" "You're just a scrawny teen, even with that temper of your's you won't be able to stop him!" "I WILL TOO, AND I'M NOT SCRAWNY! I'M SLENDER! Good night Ash Ketchum!" And with that Misty flopped on her bed and promptly went to sleep. Ash sighed. He finally realized that he couldn't change her mind. ******* Misty sat in their room, nervously waiting for Gary. Ash walked in and did a double take when he saw Misty. She stood up. "Do you think I look overdone?" She was wearing a blue skirt that swished above her knees when she walked, a black tank top that showed her midriff, and a white knit long sleeve shirt with no buttons. She had on these funky platforms, and her hair was done in a french braid, with little blue earrings. "No. It's fine." He said shortly. Misty rolled her eyes. "You're not still mad because I'm going out with Gary are you?" "NO!!!!!" "Yeah right." "Yeah, that's right!" "Mmmhhhmm." Just at that moment, they heard a knocking on the door. KNOCK! KNOCK! "He's here! Move!" She shoved past Ash and ran to the door. "Hi Gary!" Ash exhaled sharply. She was acting like one of those sick giggly girls. Not the tom-boy he knew. "Hi Misty! All set?" Ash rolled his eyes. ~Gary is such a loser. All set!?!~ "Uh, yeah Gary." Ash grinned. From Misty's tone of voice he could tell she wasn't that impressed either. He heard the door slam and the couple walk to the elevator. ~I sure hope Misty doesn't have that bad of a time tonight.~ ******* "So Gary, what movie are we going to?" "You can pick." "Okay." Misty picked a romantic comedy, and they got their tickets and walked in. "Let's sit at the back." Gary suggested. "Uh....sure." They sat down, and the movie started. Gary grinned and slipped his arm around her shoulders. Misty glanced at him but didn't say anything. ~I wonder if what Ash said has any value. I still don't think he would try anything, but I better be ready~ Misty tensed up, getting a good grip on her purse, so it would be ready for use. "Relax." Gary whispered in her ear and grabbed her hand, loosening it deathly grip on the purse. He massaged her shoulders with his other hand. Misty shoulders relaxed. ~Awww, he's giving me a massage. Try one thing and your dead, buster.~ She thought. Suddenly, without warning, Gary grabbed her shoulders with both hands, and turned her to face him, forcing his lips on hers. ~Eeeeeewwwww!~ Was the first thing that went through Misty's head, then, ~Gotta get away!~ She shoved him as hard as she could but he wouldn't let go. She turned her head away, but he grabbed it in both hands and relentlessly kissed her again. This time she punched him in the stomach and he let go of her, doubling over in pain. She tried to scramble past him and get to the aisle, but he grabbed her hand and wouldn't let go. She screamed, which got a few peoples attention, and an usher came running towards them. Gary grabbed her, covering her mouth with his hand, pushing past the usher, and running out into the street. Misty struggled violently, wrenching herself away from him. She ran desperately down the deserted street, screaming for help as he ran after her. But no-one was there and his superior height and strength won, and he caught her again. "Get away from me Gary! I hate you! Go away!" Gary ignored her shouts and kissed her again, his hands running over her body. Misty almost gagged when his tongue forced it's way into her mouth. She got really scared and kneed him as hard as she could in the groin. He immediately let go and crumpled to the ground. Misty took off down the street running as fast as she could to the hotel. She was barrelling down a road when she ran into something, and hit her head really hard. As she slid to the ground, her last conscious thought was, ~I wonder if Ash is worrying about me,~ before she blacked out. ******* HA HA!! Cliff-hanger!
