Wow...Bob Dylan won his first Oscar for Best Song tonight. He performed "Things Have Changed", from Wonder Boys, live via satellite from Sydney. Reports from his Sydney concert, by the way, were very enthusiastic, as have many e-mails along the way from Australia and Japan.

In a rare speech Bob Dylan thanked his fellow bend mates. He also preformed י "Things Have Changed" live from a concert in Austalia. The host of the oscar awardes, Steve Martin commented that the time difference between the show and the concert was eighteen hours, which is pretty normal for Bob Dylan...

In accepting the award, he said, "Oh good God, this is amazing...I'd like to thank the members of the Academy who were bold enough to give me this award for this song. It's a song that doesn't pussyfoot around or turn a blind eye to human nature.''
