Really shows you Ed needs Collective Soul. Lyrically it's great, musically it's not. With only light guitar, drum machines, and some women on backing vocals, it's more pop than anything. A few songs are borderline suck, while others such as "Shut Up & Dance", "Don't Dull Pain", and "Over Tokyo" are pretty good. It's not really Collective Soul sounding, which you would expect since the band didn't exsist then. Just don't get the album thinking it will be. - Anthony Moore My Rating: * * * Album Credits: Mark Ettel - Remixing Ed Roland - Producer, Engineer Robert Vosgien - Digital Mastering Ken Webb - Photography Heather Harris - Art Direction Kenneth Maynard - Design Other Information:Released in 1977 on Oxymoron, re-released in 1995 on Core. |
