Welcome to my Poetry page.  When I saw some of these poems I immediately thought of all my wonderful online friends.  This page is for you guys.  It is so hard to express how much love I have for you guys and how much I appreciate your always being there for me.

Unseen Friends

Although you are a friend of mine
And letters we exchange
I would not know you on the street
And doesn't that seem strange?

You hold a place within my life
Unusual and unique
We share ideals and special dreams
And still we do not speak

I picture what I think you are
Perhaps you picture me?
An intriguing game for both of us
For someone we cannot see.

So for this friendship we possess
We owe this mail a debt
Perhaps the charm lies in the fact
That we have never met.

The Friends We Meet Online

The true friends who we meet online
Are a very special kind
They pierce your shields and see within
The corners of you mind.

They're always there when you're in need
With their power to discern.
They feel your pain...
They offer hope and genuine concern.

We bare our souls, expose our hearts
And show our inner fears
And then before you know it
The keyboard's stained with tears.

And if we could se them through that screen
Then no one could deny
That to be a TRUE online friend
They too must cry

Friendship Is...

Friendship is a strange thing...
We find ourselves telling each other
The deepest details of our lives...
Things we don't even share
With our families who raised up...
But what is a friend?
A confidant?  A lover?
A fellow email junkie?
A shoulder to cry on?
An ear to listen?  A heart to feel?
A friend is all these things...and more.
No matter where we met...
I call you friend.
A word so small...yet so large in feeling...
A word filled with emotion.
It is true...
Great things come in small packages.

Just to "be" with you

Quiets your fears
Raises your spirits
Says nice things about you
Tells you the truth when you need to hear it

Values you
Walks beside you
X-plains things you don't understand
Yells when you won't listen and...
Zaps you back to reality

A friend is someone we turn to when our spirits need a lift,
A friend is someone we treasure
For our friendship is a gift
A friend is someone who fills our lives
With beauty, joy, and grace
And makes the world we live in
A Better and Happier place.
