She either gets turned upside down and try again or have a by pass. They have to shock
her heart before they do anything else, we see

me in a wheel chair to wheel me back to her
room after viewing pictures of her blockage.

The Prime Time Writers have been
having fun with some challenging new
topics. Two weeks ago we each
had to modernize a fairy tale or nursery
rhyme. Theare available to read
in the 39andover website and are headed
"Fractured Fairy Tales."
They are a hoot! We'd like to add more writers to
our group if anyone is interested.
We're all amateurs, so come join us as
we learn more about writing.

JEFFERY'S COMPUTER HELP
SCANNING PHOTOS:
What resolution should you scan a
photo at depends on what your going to use the
photo for.
If you want use the photo for e-mail, or the
web, then 72 to 150 DPI would be the ideal
resolution. The higher the resolution
the bigger the size of the file.
If you want to print photos from the scan,
then 300 DPI will give you a excellent image
quality for the same size print.
If you want to enlarge the photo then 500
DPI will allow you to enlarge the photo. The
higher the DPI the larger the image will be
enlarged without distortion.
Do not for get to crop the image before you
save it. When saving it save it as a JPEG
as that will compress the size of the file.

Need Your HELP!
This is about my only cousin's grand
daughter who was first diagnosed with a
cancerous brain tumor when she was just 2
years old! This little kid has spent so much
time in the hospital and at doctors
offices and getting tests done that I am amazed at
how well she seems to be adjusting to the
whole thing. And now the possibility or it
happening all over again. I am
enclosing the message from my cousin and asking that
all of you please take a moment from your
busy lives to offer your kind thoughts,
prayers, or whatever you will to help this
little child recover.
Thank you all so very much,
Judy/Sza
_________
Hello,
Megan had an MRI on Tuesday and it's taken me this long to get the energy to send this message. The news is basically inconclusive. There is a definite change in the scan (about the size of a dime or so), but the Dr's at UCSF are not sure if the change is tumor reoccurrence or radiation reaction (which is basically dead brain cells caused by the delayed effects of the radiation seeds which were implanted way back in 1/99).
So, we are waiting to hear when
another test, called a PET scan will be scheduled,
hopefully next week. I may have this
mixed up with another test, but I believe the test
measures metabolism of cells, as tumor cells
metabolize faster than healthy brain
tissue and dead brain cells don't metabolize
at all.
If the test is inconclusive, or if it finds that the cells are tumor, then we are looking at another surgery. We could be looking at another surgery even if the cells are radiation reaction, as that can spread also. If it is tumor, we are also probably looking at radiationover several weeks. If surgery is necessary, it will be some time in the next few weeks.
So, we obviously are somewhat in shock. We vacillate between hopeful optimism and being scared to death. We have been keeping really busy with a lot of fun activities for both of the kids. This week wewent to Tubetown, Megan and Janie went to see The Little Mermaid play, the kids rode tractors at Daddy's work this morning and Megan has a swim birthday party this afternoon. I think we are off to the San Francisco zootomorrow also.
Please feel free to write or call. We are doing OK. Megan only knows that the "pictures of her head" didn't come out so good so they may need to take some more.
We'll let you know more when we know more. The PET scan results can take 3-4 days, so don't panic if you don't hear back for a couple weeks.Take care and thank you to everyone for keeping Megan in your prayers. If you attend church, we would really appreciate your putting Megan on your churches prayer list.
(Thank You Mary and Sza for passing
this on. We are happy to help in anyway we can! Please keep in touch as to
"Megan's" progress)

CONSIDER THIS.......
Sometimes we forget what the
"Good Old Days" were really like.
Here are some reminders of what was really
going on way back in
1902.
The average life expectancy in the USA
was 47. Today we are just
getting started at that age.
Only 14% of the homes in the USA had a bath tub.
Only 8% of the homes had a telephone.
A three minute call from
Denver to New York City cost eleven
dollars. This was when the
average wage was twenty-two cents an hour.
In 1902 there were only 8,000 cars in
the USA to drive the 144
miles of paved roads. In most cities the
speed limit was 10mph.
Most women only washed their hair once
a month and used borax or
egg yolks for shampoo.
More than 95% of all births in the USA took place in the home.
Some how the "Good Old Day"
have lost a bit of their luster. On the
bright side back in 1902 Coca-Cola contained
cocaine instead of
caffeine.(Just kidding) Just imagine what
2102 will like. Wow
Blessed Be
