My dad, Jesse Kalman, was on the Oklahoma. As I
mentioned in the guestbook, we recently attended a reunion in Scottsdale AZ
which was set up by Mr. Paul Goodyear. There was an excellent turnout and it
was a wonderful reunion - I believe they plan to have another one next year
in the same location.I will mail the notes from the guestbook to my father - he does not have a
computer (and according to him, never will). He is 82 and in good health -
my mother, Esther Kalman, is doing well but has had some health problems for
a number of years. He remained in the Navy for 20 years.After the attack, he was assigned to the Royal Hawaiian Hotel where he spent
the next 2 years - lucky soul! Some of the others at the reunion were not so
lucky. Also, some of those who attended have also been featured in
documentaries regarding Pearl Harbor which have aired recently (Jim Bounds,
George Brown, George Smith and several others), Mr. Goodyear is a wealth of
information - I am sure he could provide you with additional info.Please feel free to e-mail me back and I will be glad to furnish any info I
