Haskell Fencing Club

The Haskell Fencing Club is an interactive group that meets every week at the Armory. New groups form every month. All groups are progressive and begin with basic swordsmanship ("pointy end goes in the other man") and nomenclature (name the parts). Groups also study and discuss philosophical application concepts, differentiating between tournament style and non-tournament (duel) fencing while focusing skill development in non-tournament style fencing (rapier only). The principal concern of each group is Safety and Self Control and is strictly enforced at ALL times!

Each group is limited to 20 members, and Beginners' groups require at least 10 new members to form, so it's ideal for quality time with your friends and can bring the family together with something most everyone can enjoy!

Classes are $15 each or $50 for the month, per member. Inquire about our special programs for your whole family. All procedes are donated to the Armory Military Museum, Inc. for restoration of the Armory and acquisition of future exhibits.

No special equipment is required for members, although it is recommended that all members procure their own rapier and gauntlets (gloves that cover up to the middle of the forearm) as soon as they are able.
