~ Bio ~
Mandy Sullivent (Shklar) graduated from Sperry High School in 1996. Mandy was a four year letterman and was a High School All-Stater. During high school she was recruited by colleges such as Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Iowa State and Tulsa. Mandy went on to play for Tulsa University and was awarded Golden Glove Recipient her freshman year. After her freshman year she transferred to the University of Mississippi and was named defensive player of the year her sophomore, junior and senior year.
In 1999, her junior year, Mandy was chosen along with other Division I players around the country to play in the Canada Cup. She was awarded 2nd Team All-American.
After her college softball career, Mandy was offered the assistant coaching position at her Alma Mater (Ole Miss). She stayed in that position for two years from 2003 to 2005 before deciding to move back home. Since 2005, Mandy has been providing both defensive and offensive instruction to young athletes. Not only does she share with them the fundamentals of the games she loves, but she also instills in them self confidence and a positive attitude that will not only make them a better player, but that will help them to become better young women both on and off the field.
She now resides in Collinsville and is married to Jason Sullivent. They just recently had a daughter, Jaiden, on September 27th, 2011. |
