Let us, for a moment, take the sex-education pushers at their
word: If you teach a child how to use a condom, you're promoting
safety -- not usage. Why, then, doesn't the same logic apply to
guns? In Maryland, Democrat Gov. Parris Glendening just vetoed
bipartisan gun safety education legislation. It would have made
Maryland the first in the nation to establish public-school guidelines
for gun safety instruction from kindergarten through grade 12.
Gov. Glendening's objections show just how willing some liberals
are to sacrifice children's safety to absolutist anti-gun ideology,
even when following the exact logic as their sex education
advocacy.
The Tripwire (D. van Oort & J.F.A. Davidson)
What would be the tripwire resulting in open rebellion? Examining
the Bill of Rights, and considering EXISTING laws only, and not
failed attempts, you will find that every clause has been violated to
one degree or another.
Gun-grabbers: masters of the New Plantation (Vin Suprynowicz )
While the Second Amendment is sufficient to
guarantee the right of citizens to own machine guns, not
to mention rifles, pistols, "assault weapons," and
shoulder-launched missiles, it's not even the best
guarantee of this right. The whole debate over the Second
Amendment has largely distracted us from considering a pair of
enactments even more directly on point: the 14th Amendment and
the original, 1866, Civil Rights Act.
