My Addtempts at making a Hoopak and Instrustions to make your own.

How to make your own

1. Find yourself a nice long stick, branch or whatever you can find in the shape of a Y. One a bit taller then u if possible and a straigent on to. Also make sure ITS STRONG! and will not break!

2. Shave the brak off it as best you can, breack off any little sticks or leaves off it.

3. Make a design on your shaved wooden Y. Or not

4. Two pieces of tough string or something that you can use as a sling. Part of an old sling will work. Attach the string to each end of the hoopak, at the top mind you.

5. Find a piece of leather, make two hole at the end of the leather strip and attach the leather to the string. Make sure you tie it good. We don't want you to hurt yourself if the string comes undone.

6. Find some feather or anything you wish to add to it.

7. Tie yarwn at the bottom of the V part of the stick. (the top), then tie some yarwn in the middle and some at the end of the stick but not totally at the end, we need room for the spear point. (any color of yarwn will work)

8. For the spear point its best to make it a dool point, cuase you dont really want to hurt somebody or stab them. You can either caver the spear point if you wish or for us unskilled workers. Use a cardboard cricle, glue that to the bottom really good then glue a cardboard tringale. (hole kind, 3-D in other words. you can find those at any craft store.) I would use Hot Glue for that.

9. And there you have it, the kender hoopak! now go out there and test your Hoopak, and if it dont work Im sorry. Best try again and again to get it to work, I know Im still testing new ways hehe.
