NATURAL HABITAT: In the waters of the Amazon, South America. SIZE: They grow to about 1.5" when fully grown. COLOUR: The lower half of this tetras body is bright red. A blue streak is also seen on the body. SHAPE: A beutiful fish ful of action. Their fins are are well balanced and they have a tail that is in the shape of a fork. TEMPERAMENT: Peaceful and should be kept in large schools to make them feel confident. CARE: Feed with small mosquito larvae and daphnia. You can also feed them tubifex worms. GENDER: The gender is very hard to tell. The males are generally smaller. Visitor Comments... You can sex neons by obseving the blue/green bar of color. The female will
display a bend in that bar where the male's will be straight. Also the female,
when mature will become much more plump than the male.
