In my opinion the best food source is either micro worms or brine shrimp. Other breeders say that brine shrimp is very nutritious but I find them harder to get and hatch. There is a cycle that you must use to hatch these brine shrimp from their eggs and it is quite difficult for the beginner. I would suggest micro worms and when the baby Angels are a little bigger try feeding them on daphnia, mosquito larvae and cyclops aswell. When my baby Angelfish where only a couple of days old I tried to feed them baby daphnia but i found that they were not eating the daphnia so I waited till they got a little larger.
My fish isn't eating. What happened?
Try putting live foods in the tank as the fish find these more tastier and are much better quality for them. Most Cichlids will eat the cut up earth worms, and basically all fish will eat mosquito larvae, daphnia and cyclops.
