Fred Morford, son of F. M. and C. Morford, was born in Albia, Monroe county,
Iowa, October __,* 1867, and died at Gordon, Neb., April 3, 1903. When quite
young he moved with his parents to Malvern and lived here until a young man. He
then went to Newman Grove, Neb., where he was married to Miss Etta B. Lyon,
who, with their three children, survive him. They soon moved to Tabor, Iowa,
where they lived until 1902, when they went to Gordon, Neb., where they resided
until his death.
He was brought to Malvern, Monday, April 6, for burial. The funeral was held at
the Baptist church and was conducted by Rev. H. R. Waido the pastor. In
addition to his family he leaves a father and mother and four brothers and six
sisters to mourn his loss.
MY NOTE: "Fred" is Francis Arlando Morford - Fred must be a nickname
for Francis since he and his father shared the same first name. Also - *could
not read the date (day) of his birth as someone had placed a check mark
directly across it! Vlww
