Godzilla

Later that night Kait and I were trying to find something for me to wear for my date that night with Tay. I had about an hour to get myself ready.
"God, I have no IDEA what to wear!" I exclaimed, picking out yet another shirt from our closet and throwing it over my shoulder. Kait was sitting calmly on the bed with her head leaning up against the pole. She was just watching my antics.
"Calm down. Why don't you just wear your brown button-up skirt with the stripes and the matching shirt?" She suggests.
"That sounds good." I start to dig through the heap of clothes for that outfit. When I find it I run into the bathroom and change. The outfit looks good. The shirt has two buttons at the chest and then ties underneath and shows off my stomach. I come out of the bathroom and find my brown boots that zip up the front. I blow-dry my damp hair straight, then I put on powder and light brown eyeshadow and cherry lipgloss. As I finish my make-up there's a knock at the door. I squirt on some perfume and grab my purse. I glance over myself one last time and rush to the door.
"Have fun." Kait called. I open the door to Tay. He looks VERY hot. He had his hair down and was wearing his red fuzzy pants and his blue long-sleeved shirt with a gold-yellow stripe across it. I could smell CKBe on him.
"Hi!" I greeted.
"Hi!" He smiles at me, staring. "What movie do you want to see?" We start to walk out of the Bunk.
"I don't know, whatever you want to see."
"How about Godzilla?"
"Well sure, but I might get scared, there IS a monster you know..."
"That's okay!"
"You like that, huh?"
"Yep!!" We both smile.

"Do you want to sit here?" I ask, finding two empty seats in the back.
"Sure, it's the only place TO sit! I wonder why no one sat here yet, it's the best place!" He laughs. I roll my eyes. We sit in the seats. "So, when are you and Kait going to start recording your CD?"
"Whenever we finish writing the songs and stuff. Maybe you could help us choreograph our dances some day."
"Sure, why not?" Then we just sit in silence until the movie starts.
About fifteen minutes into the movie I see Tay start to put his arm around me, but then he chickens out. Then about fifteen minutes later, he manages to put his arm around me withOUT wussing out. I lean up against him and we watch the rest of the movie.

"That was good." I comment as we walk out of the theater.
"Yeah." Tay is staring straight ahead as if he was thinking about something really hard. When we got back to our Bunk he walked me to my room.
"Good-night." He says.
"'Night." Tay still has that distant look on his face. Then I turn to open the door.
"Aairana?" I turn around and his face is in mine. I feel his lips on mine. The brief kiss ends just as fast as it began. "'Night." He no longer has that look on his face.
"See you tomorrow Tay." I utter, smiling.
"Bye." I walk into the room and Tay leaves. I lean up against the now closed door. "Wow. That was one of the best nights of my LIFE!" I comment.
"What'd you do?" Kait asks dully from her bed.
"We went to Godzilla and when we came back here he kissed me!" I start to jump around the room, but then I stop, hearing Tay and Zac talking through the wall.
