A Little TOO Close...

We went across the hall to Erik's room and Kait knocked. "Yeah? Who is it?"
"It's Aairana and Kait," I tell him through the door.
"Come on in!" I open the door, to find the biggest mess I've ever seen in my LIFE! There're clothes EVERYWHERE, pop cans EVERYWHERE, and some empty bags of chips.
"God, what the H-LL happened here?" Kay asks, stepping over a heap of junk containing who KNOWS what. "I thought OUR room was bad!"
"Here, sit down." He pushes all of the clothes off of his bed so we can sit there.
"You're room looks just the same as our's! The furniture's in all the same places." Kait says.
"Yeah, all of the rooms are the same!" He smiles at her. "You'd think maybe they would get a little creative and change them a little."
"You would think." I look over at Erik, and he is staring at Kait.
"So, do you want to do something?"
"Sure, like what?" I inquire.
"Do you guys want to go swimming?"
"Sure, it's really hot out," Kait said.
"Well, why don't you come with me Kait, and Aairana you can go get changed, and then we'll meet you in the Rec. Room in about five minutes."
"Okay, I'll see you then." I leave the room and Kait and Erik go down to the Rec. Room. I think to myself as I see Erik watching Kait from behind, "God he wants her!"

MEANWHILE...

Kait sat on the couch that was directly facing the TV. Erik sat next to her. A little TOO close. Their legs were touching, and half of the couch was left. "Are you going out with Zac Hanson?" He asked her.
"No."
"That's good."
"What?"
"Nothing." There was a long pause.
"Are you going out with anyone?"
"No." There was yet another long pause.
It had been five minutes since they had been down there and Kait said, "God, what is taking Airi so long?"
"I don't know."
"You wait here and I am going to go and see where she is." Kait stands up and starts to walk down the hall way.

"Airi, what is taking you so long?" Kait asks me as she walks into our room. She sees me curled up on the bathroom floor. "What's the matter?" She runs over to me.
"I think I have the flu," I say as she sits down.
"You go and lay down, and I am going to go tell Erik that we can't go."
"No, you go I'll be fine."
"No, I am not going to leave you here by yourself when you're barfing all over the place."
"Go, I think Erik wants you."
"Well I don't want him. I'm staying. You're a bit more important than some guy, and besides I want Zac. And he's not here." She makes me stand up and go lay down. Then she leaves to go tell Erik that we aren't going to go swimming with him. When she's gone, I fall asleep.
