Tay and I were watching TV in our room, and holding each other, when there was
an urgent knock on our door. Tay answered. Ike burst in.
"You guys! I just saw Kait hugging a guy who wasn't Zac down in the Lobby! She's
cheating on him! Come help me break it to him!" He charged out of the room and
plowed through the slightly open door. Tay adn I followed. "Zac! Kait's cheating
on you!" He had a big smile on his face.
"No she isn't."
"Yes she is! I just saw her hugging some guy in the Lobby!" Zac sat up a little.
"Wait a minute-what'd he look like?" I asked.
"He was probably a little taller than me, chin length dark brown hair, kind of
skaterish, wearing a bright red New York Yankees hat."
"She's not cheating on Zac! That's her brother!"
"She has a brother??"
"Yeah, his name is Rian. He's 15, almost 16. He lives here with his foster
family."
"I didn't know she had a brother!" Zac exclaimed.
"She doesn't talk about him much." As we cleared up this matter, Kait came in,
followed by Rian.
"Hi, this is my brother Rian." She sat down on the bed.
"Kait, were you planning on meeting Rian today without telling me?" Zac
questioned.
"No, when I left I called him."
"Why?"
"I needed someone to talk to."
"Why didn't you talk to Air or someone?"
"You guys were all here." She layed on her stomach beside Zac. "And besides, I
haven't talked to him in over a year. Ri, this is Zac, my boyfriend, his brothers
Tay and Ike, and you know Airi."
"Hi," Rian said. He looked kind of uncomfortable.
"You can sit." Rian sat on the bed by Kait's feet, Tay and I sat on the other
bed, and Ike pulled up a chair.
"Tay, how could you have spilled juice on yourself, we don't hav any!!" Zac
suddenly asked.
"We uh, bought some."
"Yeah right! You guys are liars!"
"What else could it be?" Ike inquired.
"Let's drop it, who cares?" Kait ended that discussion.
"Kait, you aren't close enough to me!" Zac exclaimed. "Get over here!" Kaits
scooted closer, and Zac put his arm around her. She turned onto her back, sat up,
and layed her head on Zac's shoulder.
"Any more better?"
"NOW I am!"
"You're too close," Ike commented.
"We aren't close enough!" Zac shot back, pulling Kait closer to him. Ike got up,
pushed his chair back, and left angrily. Rian turned to Kait.
"I guess he really doesn't like you!"
"I know."
"I like you. Lots." Zac kissed the top of her head.
"I've never seen you like this with a guy before, Katie. All the guys I've ever
seen you with were stoned off their asses, and smacking you up. This is MUCH
better!" Rian commented.
"You hardly ever see me at ALL anymore!!"
"Still. I don't think I've ever seen you willingly kiss someone either."
"I'd kiss him, but he's sick. Otherwise you would've seen that by now."
"Oh, so you'd get sick too."
"We never thought of THAT, he'd just throw up. I've kissed him since he was
sick. A lot."
"Kiss me now!"
"I'll get sick!"
"You'd be sick anyway!" She leaned over and kissed his lips. "Kiss me again."
She kissed him again. "Again." She did. "Again."
"Zac!"
"Your lips are soft! Your kisses feel good!" She kissed him.
"Stop it."
"What?" He asked innocently.
"Stop flirting."
"Why?"
"Cuz."
"That's not a reason."
"ZAC!"
"WHAT?"
"You know."
"No I don't.."
"UGGHHHH!!" Rian, Tay and I laughed at them.
"Katie, it's sweet that he's flirting with you. None of the boyfriends I've seen
you with before did it," Rian noticed.
"You aren't suppossed to be on HIS side!!" Kait threw a pillow at him, and we
were all laughing.
