Again and Again

A few hours later, I woke up to someone shaking me. I opened my eyes to Tay. They flew open wider, and I curled up against the wall. Tay sat down next to me and put his hand on my shoulder.
"Just talk to me..."
"I can't."
"You have to." I looked at him as if saying, 'Don't touch me!'. "Sorry! I didn't mean it like that! Just...we have to talk about this. Or it will ruin our relationship."
"It already has."
"No..." He started to cry and hugged me. I hesitated, but then pushed him away. "I don't want it to..." He held out a little black leather box.
"I don't want it." I pushed it away.
"Air, at least look at it."
"Don't call me that. It's a pet name. Even though you push me as if I were your Bitch...."** Tay stared at me a while.
"Please Aairana, look at it. You can hate me after, but at least give me a chance to show you that I still care. A lot." I took the box from him and opened it. It was a thick, gold band.
"Wow." I said dully. I handed it back.
"There's more. Look on the inside." He opened it again, and I took the ring out. On the inside the words 'I'm Sorry' were printed eight times in fine penmanship. I took the box and just held it. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot." Tay pulled a wad of folded papers out of his pocket. He handed this to me. I unfolded them. "I got bored while I was waiting for the jeweler to finish, and this was all I could think of. Sorry it's on jewelery stationary." I half smiled as I glanced over the pack of papers. On every inch of every piece of paper the words 'I'm Sorry' were written. "I wore out about three of their pens. And my hand hurts." I turned to the wall, tears falling down my face. "Well, since you won't talk to me still, I'm gonna leave. I'll be back again later." He kissed the back of my head and left. I slipped the ring onto my right hand ring finger. It fit perfect.

After Tay left his (possible-x) girlfriend, he went into his own room. Zac and Kait were sitting in Zac's bed together talking. He collapsed onto his bed.
"Tay, where were you?" Kait asked.
"I got her a ring. She doesn't like it."
"What kind of ring?"
"A plain gold band, with 'I'm Sorry' engraved into the inside."
"I bet she likes it."
"She doesn't. She still won't talk to me."
"That doesn't mean she doesn't like it." Tay didn't say anything.
"Kait, can I lay on you?"
"Yeah Zac, go ahead." Zac layed his head in his girlfriend's lap. There was silence for a moment, and then a loud sniffle.
"Tay, are you crying?"
"No." You could hear the tears in his voice.
"I can tell you are. There's nothing bad about it. I've cried because of Kait before."
"You didn't hit her."
"But I did something just as bad. No matter what way they get hurt, they still get hurt." Kait gently stroked Zac's head. He closed his eyes.
"He's right Tay. It all hurts. But it hurts everyone. Not just the vitim."
"Tell me about it." The silence fell again. Kait bent down and kissed Zac's head.
"Tay, why don't you go get something to eat? Starving yourself is not a good thing." Kait suggested.
"Okay." Tay got up and walked to the door. He left, shutting it behind him.
"That was so sweet Zac."
"It was true."
"But it was so sweet. You knew what you did was wrong, just like Tay knows. Him and Airi just both need some time for things to blow over. It is more serious what he did, but I know he didn't do it on purpose, you know he didn't do it on purpose, he knows, and I think even Airi knows."
"Yeah." They sat in silence a while. "My stomach hurts again."
"You wanna go to the bathroom?"
"Yeah." They got down from the bed and entered the bathroom.

**NOTE:In case you don't get this, it means, pet=dog, female dog=bitch.**
