• John George was born in Ireland in 1849. He came to Canada as a homechild around 1859. He lived around the Nassagaweya, Halton County area. He Married Maggie SMITH and they had 6 chilren. Annie, Bob, Lily, Mary, Maud, Charlie. Maggie died on Nov. 26, 1885. she was 33 yrs. and 8 mths. John remarried on April 12, 1888 to Mary Hewson. They had two children Harry, and Wallace. Mary was born on May 23, 1863 she died Oct. 27 1922. John died on Oct. 27 1939 at the age of 80.
