La Vern Hood
La Vern Hood was the son of James Hood and Margaret Lister. La Vern was born in 1886. He married Rachel Etta James. They had 10 children 2 of which died they were Grace, Melrose, Jim, Marjorie, Murray, Bob, Gordon, Carol. La Vern worked in a Steel plant in Hamilton until he retired. He died in 1955 at the age of 69.
