This and the pages linked from it are to promote the offering of schedules for public use by those inspired to practice the Peace Walk Event Genre as "an activity of conscience as humankind" under American Peace March generic auspices, ie, no organizational sponsors, no fundraising, no leaders other than individual conscience, just human beings as an intentional global community of humanity. Here is offered the peace walk event genre as a intentional focus of the power of the human mind to bring out solutions, as a better alternative to protesting problems, by uniting all solutions based messages under auspices of The American Peace March to uprise the true spirit of America in all hearts, ie, the spirit of truth, responsibility, accountability, peace, love, and harmony among all humankind living together as simply fellow human beings as one family of life on this Earth of ours, all together as friends.

This project was initiated by a sacred prayer ceremony conducted by an indigenous American spiritual practitioner offering the prayer of The Sacred Pipe of Peace at/for the Washington Monument Symbol of The Spirit of America on October 24, 2003, the 58th anniversary of the ratification of the United Nations Charter in respect of the UN's 1995-2004 International Decade of the World's Indigenous Peoples and the 2000-2009 Decade of Creating a Culture of Peace for the 21st Century.

The primary purpose of this project is to inspire the use of the Peace Walk Event Genre as described above in communities, towns, and cities across America and around the globe to bring together like minded people whose collaborations may then better further the development of a sustainable global community of peace and harmony among all life while solving global and local social and environmental problems.

To this end, this site and related e-mail group lists are offering schedules for public consideration and action towards local and regional promotional "Peace Relay Walks" from November 15, 2003, starting at in Washington DC with "Four Routes to The Four Directions" converging on San Francisco for End Walk Ceremony in United Nations Plaza on February 29, 2004

By offering targeting schedules on a regional peace relay walk format the continuity and media coverage of the various related issues may be brought out sequentially to well stimulate continuing regular local peace relay walks in these towns of regional route focuses, and also well develop feedback and ideas for the best routes for the "contiguous" (walking every step of the way as best possible) style peace walk under auspices of The American Peace March 2004 from San Francisco's United Nations Plaza departing March 20, 2004, and arriving for closing ceremony at the Washington Monument Symbol of the Spirit of America on October 24, 2004, with regional, local, "splinter" and "feeder" routes of this walk route developed via the promotional "Peace Relay Walks" from November 15, 2003 to February 29, 2004, as above described.
