Members of the Task Force received a package of material on palliative care that provided a starting point for discussion. The first meeting consisted of coming to terms with the definition of palliative care and attempting to distinguish how palliative care is different from the care that is currently being given to residents/patients. The Task Force also looked several member facilities' models of palliative care.
