In the 1950s the TTC purchased "almost new" PCC cars from American cities that were abandoning their streetcar systems. Thirteen years after its arrival in Toronto, 4551 is just starting to exit Bicknell Loop on its way back down to St. Clair and Oakwood. This car was built by St. Louis Car in 1947 as Cincinnati Street Railway 1151 and was purchased in 1950.
