You will Need:
small amounts of black and yellow yarn.
size G crochet hook
large sewing needle for weaving in ends
Head
Row 1. with yellow, ch 2, 6 sc in the second ch from hook. Join to first.
Row 2. Ch 1, sc in same as joining, 2 sc in each sc around, join, leave long tail for sewing.
Body, starting with the stinger
Rows 1 and 2. with black, ch 4, sl st in second ch from hook and in each ch to end, ch 1, 4 sc in same as last ch. Ch 1, turn, sc in same st, sc across row, change to yellow in last stitch, ch 1, turn.
Rows 3 and 4. Sc in same stitch, sc across row, ch 1, turn, sc across row, change to black in last stitch, ch 1, turn.
Rows 5 and 6. Sc in same stitch, sc across row, ch1, turn, sc across row, change to yellow in last stitch, ch 1, turn.
Rows 7 and 8. Sc in same stitch, sc across row, ch 1, sc dec in first 2 sc twice, finish off.
Wings, with white.
Row 1. ch 5, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch, 3 in end, sc across other side of ch, join in first sc, ch 1.
Row 2. Sc in same st, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 ch, 2 sc in next 3 sc, sc in next 3 sc, sc dec over next 2, join to first sc with sl st. Finish off.
ASSEMBLY:
Sew head to body, weave in all ends, sew wing to body, and add eye/mouth or use googly eyes.
