Cabbage (Newfoundland Christmas Food)

OK, Ok, I have to admit it, I am married to a Newfie. LOL Well, at least his parents are from Newfoundland so I don't really know if that counts for him or not. LOL Anyway, he likes cabbage for Christmas Dinner. I am not a big lover of cabbage at all unless it is in cabbage rolls or something like that but I will add this recipe for your information anyway.

You will need:

a cabbage
water
salt

Take off all of the dirty and damaged leaves covering your cabbage and cut it into big pieces. Put it in a large pot with enough water to cover the cabbage and add a bit of salt. Boil it until it is soft and serve with butter.

Now I have mentioned already that I am not a big lover of cabbage so I need to mention that if you decide to cook your cabbage, be prepared for the smell of cooking cabbage. ICK! LOL Although I am sure that there is someone somewhere in the world, probably Newfoundland LOL, who actually likes the smell of cooking cabbage! LOL JUST KIDDIN!!!

Have a Safe and Happy Holiday!!
