External Mug Warmer
You will need:
Variegated Worsted Weight Crochet Yarn (I used Bernat)
H Hook
Needle for sewing in ends
1 clear plastic craft mug with removable insert or if you are making it for a regular ceramic mug, you might want to decrease the beginning chain to match the height of your mug. Make sure you are about 1/2 inch down from the top of your mug so you have somewhere to put your mouth to have a drink tho, lol.
MAIN PIECE:
Row 1. Chain 17, sc in second chain from hook, sc in each remaining chain, turn.
Row 2 - 44. Chain 1. In back loops only, sc in same stitch, sc across row to end, turn.
At the end of the last row, pull thru, finish off, leaving a long piece for sewing.
ASSEMBLY:
Wrap around mug of your choice, make sure the accordian style rows are not stretched at all, you will need the extra stretch-ability to remove the piece for washing/cleaning. Sew the top 3 or 4 stitches of the first and last rows together above the handle of your mug. Sew the bottom 3 or 4 stitches of the first and last rows together below the handle of your mug. Finish off all ends and make sure everything is woven in.
