Gingerbread Man Fridgie (or pin!)
You will need:
Small amount of light brown, red, green and black yarn
G hook
Large needle for weaving ends in
Starting with his head:
Row 1. with brown, chain 2, 8 hdc in second chain from hook, join to first hdc, do not break
Body:
Chain 4, sl st in second ch from hook and next 2 chains, sl st in the stitch to the left of the joining stitch from head. Make 12 dc in the very end of the chain, joining to the stitch on the right of the joining stitch on the head. Finish off, weave in end.
Starting with your Gingerbread Man's right Arm:
Arm:
Row 1. Join brown to second dc from head on either side, ch 1 sc in same st as joining. Sc in next st, ch 1, turn.
Row 2 and 3. Sc in first and second st, ch 1, turn. At the end of row 3, do not chain. Turn
Row 4. Sc decrease over 2 stitches, finish off, weave in end.
Skip one dc and do first Leg:
Leg:
Row 1. Join brown to second dc under arm, ch 1 sc in same st as joining. Sc in next st, ch 1, turn.
Row 2 – 4. Sc in first and second st, ch 1, turn. At the end of row 4, do not chain, turn.
Row 5. Sc decrease over 2 stitches, finish off, weave in end.
In next dc, do your Gingerbread Man's left Leg the same as the first Leg (as instructed in Leg above).
Skip one dc on the body and join brown again to do your Gingerbread Man's left Arm (as other Arm above).
Outer Edging:
Join brown yarn anywhere on your Gingerbread Man, ch 1 and sc in same stitch. Sc all the way around the Gingerbread Man, do 2 sc in each of the stitches on the head and 3 sc in the ends of each arm and leg. Finish off, weave in end.
