Lemon Merangue Pie (hope I spelled that right!)

Lemon Merangue Pie is my FAVOURITE! LOL Even if it is spelled wrong. LOL MMMMMM

You can make it very easily by buying a mix or ready to pour can of lemon filling. You mix according to the package directions and pour it into a prebaked pastry shell. The merangue is very easy to make too!

For merangue you will need:

2 egg whites (with NO yolks at all)
1/4 cup sugar
a teaspoon of cream of tartar

It is a very easy method! Make sure there are no signs of any kind of fat on your mixer, bowl or in your egg whites and then beat them until they are foamy. Keep beating and gradually add sugar and then cream of tartar.

Keep beating at a very brisk pace until your merangue will form and keep peaks. Spread it on your lemon pie and bake at 374 for about 15 to 20 minutes or until your merangue is a nice light golden colour.
