Pumpkin Coaster to Crochet
You will need:
Orange Worsted Weight Yarn
Very small amount of purple or black and green yarn
H Hook
Yarn needle for weaving ends in and facial features
Row 1. With orange, chain 2, 6 hdc in sec ch from hook, join to top of first hdc, chain 2, turn.
Row 2. Hdc in same st as joining and 2 hdc in remaining stitches, join to top of first ch, ch 2, turn.
Row 3. Two hdc in first stitch, hdc in next, alternate around, join to top of first hdc, ch 2, turn.
Row 4. (Two hdc in first stitch, hdc in next 2) 2x, 2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in next st, sl st in next stitch, (Two hdc in first stitch, hdc in next 2) 2x , join to top of first hdc, chain 2, turn.
Row 5. (Two hdc in first stitch, hdc in next 3) 2x, 2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in next st, sl st in next stitch, (Two hdc in first stitch, hdc in next 3) 2x , 2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in next st, sl st in next stitch, join to top of first hdc, chain 2, turn.
Row 6. (Two hdc in first stitch, hdc in next 4) 2x, 2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in next st, sl st in next stitch, (Two hdc in first stitch, hdc in next 4) 2x, 2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in next st, sl st in next stitch, join to top of first hdc, chain 2, turn.
Row 7. (Two hdc in first stitch, hdc in next 5) 2x, 2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in next st, sl st in next stitch, (Two hdc in first stitch, hdc in next 5) 2x, 2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in next st, sl st in next stitch, join to top of first hdc, chain 2, turn. Finish off, weave in end.
Stem:
Join green with slip stitch to one of the slip stitches from the last row, chain 4, sc in sec ch from hook and in each remaining chain. Slip stitch to same stitch as joining and finish off and weave in ends.
Embroider triangle eyes and nose and squiggly mouth.
