In Kansas City a man was convicted of murder because the FBI killed his friend.
While the first man sat in a car and waited, his friend went into a house to buy drugs. The drug dealer turned out to be an informant for the FBI, and the cops waited in another room to watch the deal take place.
The man attempting to buy the drugs pulled a gun and tried to rob the dealer. The FBI ran in from the other room, where they had been waiting, and shot the would-be robber. The man waiting outside in his car has now been charged (and convicted) in the murder of his friend!!
Murder because it was a death that occured during the commission of a felony, the police said. Although no-one has even proven that the man in the car was aware that his friend was planning a drug deal, let alone an armed robbery.
This case opens the door for a whole bunch of spurious police charges. How about charging the Branch Davidians with mass murder? Why not charge Dudley George with killing his brother? One thing is sure -- if any of these victims was charged they'd face a lot harsher sentence than if the cops were tried.
So how about that for justice in the land of the "free"??
