TrEbLe ChaRgEr*JoYdRoP*show review-western fairgrounds july 30th 98
This is my review of the treble charger/joydrop/tea party concert.
this hsow was also supposed to include econoline crush, but they didnt show up,
stuck in saint louis or something. also i will not be including the tea party
becuz i dont really like them. well anyway, i bought my ticket mainly becuz i
wanted to see treble charger. first joydrop played though and i must say they
were rather boring as far as live acts go. i havnt heard their album, im sure
it has good songs on it though, their the kind of band where you have to listen
to the songs a few times before you accualy like them, which sucks. and so the
only song i recognized was that beautiful like you song, which i think is pretty
good. but what pisses me off about it is that, yeagh, if this girl singing is
not beautiful than i must be a piece of...lalala. anyway, they have a good live
sound, but as far as songs go, i wouldnt put them on my top 10favorites of
all time. this is just MY opinion though. anyways, they only played about 5 or
6 songs, then treble charger came on. this set was really good. ive seen them
live about 5 times, and each time theyve been great on stage. always full of
energy and they seem like they really love what they do. they played some new
songs for the first time ever. i dont really know what to think of them though,
in my humble opinion, they werent the best, but i have a bad ear when it comes
to picking out a good song from a live bands show, which also sucks. they opened
with "how she died" and ended with "mercury smile" one of my favorite t.c. songs
they didnt play "takes me down" though, which upset me. but thats ok. rosie was
wearing this racing outfit complete with helmet, i though it was pretty damn
funny. he made some remark i didnt quite hear about prefering silkies or
something, it was very cute. they didnt play any songs as far as i remember from
their other albums, which bothered me, but hey it was a damn good show! im just
upset i have to wait another 2 and a half months for them to come back. me and
my friend left halfway through the tea party set. we left riveted from bumping
into grieg and trevor and chatting with them. no im just joking, but we did
run into them and had a nice little convo with grieg, who wasnt an asshole or
anything. damn ive heard some evil stories. he-he. but i guess their not true.
well it was a good show (even though i lost my kick ass spot out of fear id get
killed in the mosh pit, having come close)and ill see ya later.
*note*-it is freaking 6 am and im tired so this might have come out wierd.
