Arguably one of the largest
tourist destinations in Canada, the distinct horseshoe falls have
attracted vacationers from all over the world. One of the seven
wonders of the world, many people enjoy the romance of the falls.
These days, only 10% of the
water flows over the falls that used to. Hydro turbines funnel
the other 90% underground to generate power. However, the
bypassing of most of the water helps to stop the massive erosion that
would have been taking place otherwise.
