Renee leaves the corporate world behind in search of Liam and the Taelons. She
journeys by submarine in the Bering Sea to the Kamchatka Peninsula where she
last saw them. Renee desperately searches and unwittingly unearths the Atavus,
a dealy new race of aliens intent on destroying humanity. The ancient Atavus
unleash Earth's final conflict.

Sandoval strikes a deal to help the Atavus race in their quest to consume the
5.1 billion human inhabitants on Earth. Hubble Urick refuses to believe Renee
when she desperately claims that the existence of the new deadly alien species,
the Atavus, is now threatening the planet.
- Oct-21-01 The Seduction

Howlyn, Sandoval and Juda plot a "joining" process to create human-Atavan
hybrids that will do the Atavus bidding on Earth. Renee desperately attempts
to persuade Hubble Urick to attack the mothership while its security shield is
down.

Renee tries to persuade a reporter about the existence of the Atavus, but the
reporter rebuffs her. Renee is approached by a homeless man, who claims the
Atavus are feasting on homeless people. She joins forces with him in order to
convince the media of the exsistence of the Atavus.
- Nov-04-01 Awakening

William Boone, who supposedly died, has actually been kept in a state of
suspended animation aboard the mothership for several years, and is awakened by
Sandoval to find that the Taelons and Jaridians have merged to become a new
alien species posing an even greater threat to humanity. Sandoval proposes a
scheme to lure Renee onto the Taelon mothership and into Howlyn's hands using
captured resistance fighter Boone as bait.

Guest Star Margot Kidder (Lois Lane - Superman movies) plays a forensic
pathologist turned serial killer, Dr Mataros, who is awaiting her fate on death
row. Renee breaks her out of prison, hoping she will be able to provide the
information necessary to kill the deadly Atavus aliens, but the plan backfires.
But once Sandoval learns of her involvement, he strives to recruit her to work
for him.

Renee learns that Sandoval and Howlyn are plotting to replicate an Atavus
hybrid chamber so that they can create more human-Atavus hybrids. Renee tries
to sabotage their plans for mass-producing the chambers.
- Nov-25-01 Boone's Assassin

Renee visits Boone and shows him a crystal that can project the location of
every Atavan on Earth. In an effort to retrieve the crystal, Sandoval brings
Zu'or back to life as an Atavus so that she can battle her old nemesis Boone.

Renee and Street discover an Atavus hive beneath Stonehenge and relocate it to
Antarctica to test Street's theory that extreme cold will kill the aliens. But
the test hits a snag when Street finds herself attracted to a seductive Atavus
who emerges from the pod.

Renee's pursuit of a deadly female Atavus leads her through a time warp
traveling back through time into an ancient monastery, where the monks mistake
the Atavus for the succubus (a female demon) that's been preying on them.

Renee and Street check into a Health spa for some R&R, but find themselves
in a life and death stuggle with the Atavus when the facility turns out to be
co-owned by a human-Atavus hybrid.

A high school student becomes a hybrid pawn for the Atavus after contacting
Juda via an Atavus fan club web site. The disaffected teenager is used by the
Atavus to recruit the world's youth into its army of hybrids.
- Feb-24-02 Deep Sleep

While visiting Hubble Urick in the hospital, Renee learns that the facility is
run by hybrids who are using comatose patients as an easy food source for the
Atavus.
- Mar-03-02 Art of War

Renee and an elite Army Ranger Assault Team plot to attack the Taelon
mothership, but their plans go awry when Sandoval, Juda, Tate and hybrids
materialize and attack them. In the ensuing battle, Juda is fatally wounded.
Blaming Sandoval for her death, Howlyn subjects him to a torturous mind probe
in an effort to learn how to finally conquer mankind. Juda's death spells hope
for Renee in her battle against the Atavus.
- Mar-10-02 Grave Danger

Renee receives part of an old manuscript from an associate of her Harvard
professor, who believed that ancient Egyptians were visited by aliens. He
claims he has discovered proof of this and then disappears. Renee visits the
Giza plateau and finds a former beau, in fact her love, Raleigh Sinclair,
who's a dashing British scoundrel and a rogue archeologist. The two must work
together to search the Pyramids to locate the tomb of Askenaton, a Grand
Vizier to the Pharaohs and possible ancient Atavus who had mystical powers.
According to lore, the golden mask worn by the ancient Atavus reveals the
location of more Atavus hives. Renee and Raleigh have some good hot-tempered
banter as they try to outwit each other, while Sandoval arrives to complicate
things further.

Renee tries to save a friend, who's mistakenly rounded-up with hybirds and now
trapped within a top-secret prison for hybrids. There the hybrids are forced
to feed on each other.
- Mar-24-02 Honor and Duty
-
When the powers-that-be at the US military suddenly decide to cancel an
offensive against the Atavus, Operation Takedown, Hubble and Renee enlist the
help of her boyfriend, Captain Michaels to acquire the plans to a classified
military weapon. Renee and Michaels try to destroy the Mothership's weapons
systems. There is a security leak and Michaels is arrested by his own
commander. Renee must convince him that he had instilled in his unit the exact
same sense of honor and duty he has and that they will want to hear his side of
the story.

Renee tracks Sandoval to an Atavus hive containing a 'royal' stasis chamber.
She finds a young Atavus who she cannot bring herself to kill and decides to
take him to The Lair, where he may be used for research. However, she develops
a relationship with this child, Yulyn, and discovers that his intentions are
not evil. In fact, his mother taught him to believe that all life is sacred,
even when things are desperate. She also finds out that he is Howlyn's son.
Renee must protect him and somehow find a way to return him to his homeworld
and tries to prevent him from following in his father's footsteps.

Supported by a Supreme Court nominee, a vigilante group that targets hybrids
and collaborators kidnaps Renee and puts her on trial for opening the original
Atavus stasis chamber. J Street works to pinpoint the location of the
courtroom so that Hubble and his forces can rescue Renee.
- May-12-02 Street Wise

Renee races to acquire an antidote for Street, who has become an Atavus hybrid.
Sandoval and Howlyn, meanwhile, plot to steal---and destroy---the medicine.
- May-19-02 The Journey

Renee hooks up with Captain Michaels to investigate a pharmaceutical plant
manufacturing an Atavus Hybrid vaccine. But something is little strange about
the lead scientist Dr Spangler. Ra'jel returns to lead Renee on an
enlightening trip down memory lane. Why did the Taelons pick Earth? Things
take a very deadly turn at the lab; Michaels is seriously injured,
Dr Spangler's truth is revealed, and, as the Captain fights for his life,
Renee must make an awful final choice.
- May-26-02 Final Conflict

Liam is instrumental in the final fight against the Atavus, staving off
Howlyn's dastardly plans for Earth. Liam assumes the role of Renee's advisor
as she faces her destiny and the destiny of humankind. Yulyn and the Taelon
Ra'jel both return. Lots of surprises, of course, especially regarding
Sandoval.
