During this time Dante's wife had left, so he went to find her, thus leaving the family under Selena's care. Some came and left, others died by unfortunate happenings, yet Selena and a few remaining kept hold of Dante's dream of making Bloodtide powerful and influential. During this time of Dante's absence, Selena ran into some difficulties with Gargauth and Vaticus.
As time went on and Dante's search came to nothing, he came back to his family and kingdom he loved so well, finding that no matter what anyone could do they were now under Gargauth's hold. He found out that while under Swarm Lightbane's hand he sold out the small family to Gargauth for personal gain, and no matter how hard Selena tried, it was for naught and Gargauth had them within his grasp.
One fateful day Selena died and stricken Dante went to Vaticus to bring her back, thinking her his daughter he made the deadly deal, not knowing what was in store. When Gargauth resummoned the LightDemoness he first bound Dante to do his bidding, then he bound Selena to do his bidding for 101 years. hus the enslavement of all the Bloodtides.
As time went by the Bloodtide dwindled in numbers and were almost extinct. Till one day Selena bound and determined to make things work for the better begain the slow painful process of rebuilding the almost dead family, doing it for herself as well as for Dante who she thinks of as a father and loves dearly. Wanting to make him happy once more she set out to work, not caring that the Bloodtides would one day soon be under Gargauth's thumb again. She decided that undead and vamps can only do so much, so she searched the realm for the elite off all. Wanting and desperately trying to rebuild what Dante started, thus the Bloodtide of today.
Gone are all the vamps and undead. Now it is a mixture of all beings, due to the fact Sel is married to a Tanar'ri helped greatly on the task at hand. Selena even brought in a few from her real father's (Lucifer) Army. Thus blood ties were made, bonds were made, and now the Bloodtide is stronger than ever, due to the actual family blood coursing through it.
