To begin with, I would like to give a tip for your initial rolls.
Do the opposite to what you would normally do, take the weakest rolls possible! It may sound strange, but you can't finish this book with high skill and stamina scores (you'll see what I mean later on). This book is very tough even when you follow this guide, so you need the dice rolls to go your way. You also need a high Luck score to aid you in battle. Best of Luck!

Mencius' skill and stamina scores are based on you initial rolls, this is why I said at the start that low scores are preferable in this adventure. This is a tough fight, and even with low initial scores you might struggle to win, so use luck rolls to inflict extra damage on Mencius.
