Player Name: Claire "Coffee Tramp" Doyle Character Name: Deborah O'Nessa Age: 23 to 10,000+, depending on which lifetime you're asking about Type: Mortal/Old Soul Description: Deborah's a decidedly well proportioned and good looking young woman, with chocolate brown hair and piercing green eyes, which seem to have a depth of knowledge that someone in her twenties, thirties, eighties, or even hundreds wouldn't have. She stands at just over 5'10" and carries her height to her advantage, standing tall and squared, never looking down when faced with a challenge. Her body is randomly tattooed with scars, both from herrun-insand from her past lives. Those scars tend to show up very lightly, sometimes overlapping each other. Deborah's face has been remarkably spared, only a very light scar goes from right in front of her earand down her neck, disappearing into her collar. More often than not, Deborah will be wearing black, dark, or neutral colors. It's only on special occasions that she brings out more colorful clothing. She wears comfortable, tailor-made boots which contain several hidden sheaths with various size and type knives and daggers. She has wrist sheaths whenever she wears long sleeves and always carries at least one knife with her on her belt. Personality: Deborah's one of those people who goes through life easily. That's not to say that bad things don't happen, she just takes them in stride, just as much as the good. She'll laugh much more frequently than cry, and her temper has been known throughout time as a frightening sight to behold. She'll be your shoulder to cry in an instant, all you have to do is ask. And she's a very trusting person, though not naive. After thousands of lifetimes, you have to either be willing to trust, or you'll never trust another soul. Oh yeah, and never call her anything except Deborah. Ever. Special Talents/Abilities: That depends on your definition of talent. Since she, or her soul at least, has been around for millennia, she's picked up quite a few little tidbits of information. She can tell you the best way to kill a person, how to fall in and out of love, and about twenty thousand different cures for diseases, some of which don't exist anymore. She can be hurt and killed, just like any normal human, though if you handed her a needle and thread, she could probably find a way to sew her head back on. She also happens to like playing with knives, just for protection's sake. History: Where to start? Deborah's had her share of events over the past ten thousand years. Her first incarnation was in Ireland, as was her last, and as have many. But she's been everything, from a priestess in the temple of Isis, to a French priest bringing Catholicism to the peasants. She's also done a few other things, like rule small countries, cause the downfall of many a civilization, train under warrior women and men of renown, brought more than one powerful man low through love, and participate on the losing side of a small thing called the Cattle Raid of Cooley. Her, Maeve of Connaught? Nah. But now Deborah's just a lowly Professor of Anglo-Irish Literature at MBU, who gets called upon quite frequently to help with mysterious illnesses that pop up at the hospital, and to give lectures on ancient cultures and lifestyles at the university. It helps pay the bills. She also has a few books out, mostly poetry that she's written at one time or another, and finally decided to publish. She was a great friend of Yeats in her past life, but they argued about his work a lot. She thought he lived in a fantasy world much of the time, and paid to much attention to mysticism and the occult. A Catholic herself, despite all she's said and done, she doesn't give too much credence to conservative notions, and she knows, even with all the nay-sayers, that the world will continue on after the millenium, as it has time and time again. Just ask one of her incarnations. |
