Midnight Bay is a coastal city of around 30,000 permanent residents. The city is a resort town, drawing tourists every weekend and in the summers from over the mountains and else where. The main attractions are the beaches and the National Parks of Redwoods just outside the city. There is a University, a Hospital (Memorial Hospital), various clubs and bars situated along the bay. Geographically, the area is diverse, with dark forests, stands of pine and fir dominating the mountain range while the hills and flats closer to the coast are full of golden beaches. Fishing and boating are major past times as well as professions for this city. San Francisco is about a three hour drive away south bound.
