Good Golly. Miss Molly Parker, whose breakout role was as a necrophiliac
in this spring's Kissed, gives it up in Ghost.
"Molly
Parker is here? In the building? Where?" The photographer
is clearly bewildered. "Right here." He turns to find Parker, bare-faced
and in overalls, standing right behind him. It's not hard to miss
Parker's unpretentious presence on set, but on screen, she captivates.
Stepping into the clothes - and character - the star turns. The photographer
is bewitched. So, too are audiences. First, in appearances
on such Canadian series as Lonesome Dove II and then as the lead
in the feature film Kissed, in which the Vancouver native plays
a necrophiliac embalmer. A Toronto resident, the actor will soon
star in Bruce McDonald's CBC mini-series Twitch City, with Don McKellar,
who also wrote the script. It's a comedic role, but she will no doubt
