O.K. first we'll start with a good picture of
the character you are trying to draw. Lots of
people draw from copying a picture. I'm going to
show you how you can draw from studying a
picture.

Next, lay a piece of tracing paper over the
picture. Tape it down if you can, so that it
doesn't move around.

Now, take a good look at the drawing. We are
going to break everything down into simple parts
so that we can form a template. Let's start with
the first part of the head. Draw a circle for
the top part of the head. If you are a real
perfectionist, you can use a compass or a circle
template.
