Staff Sgt. Andrew Ramirez, 24 and his Mother were reunited in Germany. Vivian, had remarked that she is going to hug him, squeeze him and talk to him of course. She was nervous but feeling excited. Vivian said that she was taking her son's favorite food with her "Double Bouble burger from and In-N-Out fast food restaurant. Vivian called Jackson a "life saver" for securing the release of her son and the other two soldiers. Andrew is not expected back in California until around May 22, 1999.

Andrew and family return home to the United states, where the family resides in Balwin Park, California.

Staff Sgt. Christopher Stone,25 is from Smiths Creek, Michigan. Was reunited with his Son and Mother in Germany.

Spc. Steven Gonzales, 21 of Huntsville, Texas was reunited with his mother in Germany.

The three men where in good condition when they arrived Sunday at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, Where they were greeted with applause and cheers as they stepped from a U.S. Air Force plane.

The men were released to the Rev. Jesse Jackson Saturdday night after the religious leader met one-on-one with Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic. Jackson first met with the three GIs Friday and reported they were in good health, but were being kept apaart from each other in a military jail. Jackson and the three soldiers huddled in prayer while air raid sirens could be heard from time to time, as NATO pilots continued to attack military targets in Yugoslavia.

If you would like to give your opinion to the Rev. Jesse Jackson please click rotating pictures above. This man needs to be congratulated for the Brave Mission that he went on to release OUR 3 MEN.

Update:Stone's injuries while a POW in Yugoslavia included a broken nose. At the U.S. Military hospital balcony the three men were greeted by cheers and applause. Besides Stone's broken nose, Ramirez suffered two fractured ribs, leg injuries and an 1 1/2 inch cut on the top of his head during captivity. All three men suffered abrasions to their wrists, which were shackled by their Yugoslav captors, and two had lost at least 10 pounds while subsisting on a diet of soup, bread and bread products. It was obviously some real physical stuff that went on while in captivate. Army officials for the first time said the three soldiers were in Macedonia when paken prisoner. Yugoslav authorities have maintained the three were captured in Serbia.

I would like to add that I am proud of how well these 3 Men have upheld Army values of personal courage, the selfless service they displayed, their duty and their honor.
