PRESEASON 7-ASIDE COMPETITION

Information

• Group A Divisions 1, 2, 3 and 4 play together.
• Group B Divisions 5, 6, 7 and 8
• Group C Ladies Divisions play together.
• Every team plays 3 games with the top 4 teams in each group playing in the semi finals.
• 7 a side with 4 reserves and unlimited interchange, players can only play in the team they start with, can’t play up in a higher graded team.
• 20 minute games with no half time, just swap ends.
• The nets and corner flags are provided for the whole day this saves time so please do not waste time, be ready to play within 5 minutes of the previous game finishing.
• Teams that play a higher graded team will have one goal head start per division ie Div 7 will have 2 goals start on Div 5. Ladies will be counted as Division 8. (This is our first year with ladies).
• If the game is drawn, then the lower division team is the winner. IF teams are in the ame division in finals, corners will be counted.
• Please keep in mind that this is a 7 a side competition which will possibly make some teams stronger or weaker than their grading. We feel these rules should make the games fairly even but with 7 players per team and a full field but 20 minutes ???
• Cost will be $30 per team which will cover the park usages fee, referees fees and prizes.
• Games at Federal Park , Upper Reserve and Holmesville Oval. Click on links for a list of teams for each ground. Last game at Upper Reserve and Holmesville at 3.00 which leaves plenty of time for everyone to arrive at Federal Park for the shoot out and semi finals.
• Shoot-out at 4.05 - Semi-Finals at 4.20 - Final at 5.00 approx
• Shoot out : players have 7 seconds to go from half way and score a goal. This will be a continuous knock out with the players who score continuing till we have one player left. Prize is a $30 Open Order. All players on the day can participate, just be at No 3 ground after the last game has finished (approx 4.05 )
• Yellow card - Miss next game.
• Red card - Out of competition and an appointment with the judiciary.
