Lily valley Weyr

You enter a farily large weyr prepared for a dragon. On the walls are tapestries of dragons flaming thread and an impression. In the cornor is a pile of beding ready for a hatchling and also in the same cornor is a small cot with a weyrhide blanket. On the wall beside the cot is a large glowbasket. You turn to look at the firepit. It is lit and roaring, strange you think. It is a nice warm sunny day. Beside the firepit on a carved wooden chair, huddled in a fur is a young man. Surprised you look him over as he has not yet noticed you. He has dark brown hair and is tanned with pure black eyes. He looks up from the hide he is reading and says, " Hello there. Are you cold. Can I offer you a fur?" You say no trying hard not to laugh. He says, " My name is Contlet. I was a candidate at Lily Valley Weyr for the clutch by Dilanth's beautiful daughter. He wistles and in glides a pure white flit. You gasp and look to him for an explanition, " this is Opague. I got him at Lily Valley...well actually I did not...Ducky did but she thought he was too special to stay in the firelizard area...so she gave him to me to look after! He likes to hang out in the main area of the weyr...so therefore we have two plaques. One for here above his perch and one there in the main weyr." He looks up at the white sitting as if he were a queen.

I come from a large hold in the south and am finding this cold weather hard to take." You cant help yourself and laugh. " What he asks? Oh That i find it cold? Well every day I get more used to it. I actually was outside with only my light clothing on. I was sure by the time the hatching started that I would be adjusted to the climate... but I am getting there" You nod in agreement and say that you must go. He askes you to wait and see his dragon, Daspleth. The beautiful adult dragon roars and walks over to you lifting his head so you can scratch his eye ridges. Then Contlet bids you goodday and warns you not to hit your head on the low doorway on the way out. You nod and leave, smiling.
