Dee Brown was drafted 19th overall by the Boston Celtics
in 1990, and played his entire career there until being
traded to Toronto last year in the Kenny Anderson deal. He
won the All Star Weekend Slam-Dunk contest as a rookie. Brown's
numbers improved after he came to Toronto. In 31 games with
the Raptors, he shot 44% from behind the 3 point line and
91% from the free throw line. Near the end of the season, he
was named co-captain along with Doug Christie. Brown is an energetic player
who can be counted on for lots of steals and 3 point shots.
He will back up Christie at shooting guard and hopefully
help provide leadership on and off the court.
